Arlette Frund
Arlette Frund is Associate Professor emeritus at the University of Tours, France, who specializes in African American literature and culture. She is the author of Phillis Wheatley et Olaudah Equiano : Figures pionnières de la diaspora atlantique (Michel Houdiard Editeur 2006) and of articles on African American women writers. She is at work on a book on Anna Julia Cooper and her continuing relevance for our contemporary conversations on race, gender, place and self-affirmation. She has organized international conferences and numerous symposiums for the Center of African American and Diasporic Studies in Paris (CEAAD) and for the Du Bois Institute at Harvard University.
