The Dutchman: Screening and Conversation

Please join us, in partnership with ArtsThursdays, and the Film Study Center, for a special screening of The Dutchman with Andre Gaines, director, producer, and co-writer of The Dutchman.

Andre Gaines is a Los Angeles-based producer, writer and director. Through his company Cinemation Studios, Gaines has produced and financed an extensive number of documentary and narrative films. Gaines made his feature film directorial debut with The Dutchman, an adaptation of Amiri Baraka’s Obie Award winning 1964 play. The Dutchman premiered at the South by Southwest Film & TV Festival.

This event is co-presented by the Film Study Center at Harvard University, The Hutchins Center, and ArtsThursdays, a university-wide initiative supported by Harvard University Committee on the Arts (HUCA).
