Radical Networks in the African Diaspora: Black Women’s Resistance in Latin America Today
Tejidos Radicales Afrodiaspóricos: Mujeres Negras y Resistencias del Siglo XXI en América Latina
This day-long event co-organized by the Afro-Latin America Research Institute and the City University of New York – Lehman College will focus on strengthening the existing platforms and exchanges among women of African descent in Latin America and propose personal/political praxis from our roots and looking towards a viable future for our students, our daughters and grand-daughters.
Throughout the day, women scholars/activists of African descent working as/with women scholars/activists of African descent in Latin America and the Caribbean will have multiple opportunities to connect with each other, themselves, and their roots through various pedagogical activities led by Facilitators from the Casa Cultural El Chontaduro Collective in Cali, Colombia.
